License and Software Availability

Opsview has used GPL v2 license from project conception. Initially Opsview was only available to Altinity's Nagios customers. By 2007 Altinity had enough resources to support a larger user community and in March 2007 Opsview was made generally available.

Relationship between Opsview and Altinity / Opsera

Opsview's core development team were employees of Altinity until October 2008 when Altinity was acquired by Opsera. Since being acquired by Opsera we now have more resources devoted to Opsview development and infrastructure.
